Phil Weaver

Music & Fun

phil@bartlesvilleradio.com

He lay in bed, listening to the music, the dj's, the cleverness, on his small Sonora A.M. table radio, a gift from his parents.    PHIL WEAVER'S first radio, and he loved it!
Stations from nearby Kansas City, from across the U.S., even Canada and Mexico. The music, the different voices, and many comedic moments from the personalities no doubt influenced PHIL to be "on the radio" someday.
That "someday" came in 1963, with a job at KLWN, in Lawrence, Ks., while finishing a Bachelor's degree in radio-tv-film from K.U. in 1966.
Then, off to Garden City, Ks., for over 30 years of creative joy, on the air, as PHIL and his wife Lynn reared 4 children.
Eventually, to be closer to family, Phil & Lynn moved to Bartlesville, where Lynn does p.r.n. work in mammography, and Phil continues broadcasting.
4 children, 6 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and still "on the air."  Life is good.
Tune-in PHIL: 6-8:30 M-F, on KWON, A.M. 1400 & F.M. 93.3; plus other times on our other
stations.

Smokey Rivers

Middays on KRIG

I grew up in Central Ohio and, at the ripe old age of 12, decided I wanted to be on the Radio.  Got my first Radio job at 21 and it's been an amazing journey ever since.  I've been married for over 25 years to a true Radio wife and have three almost grown kids who make me smile every day!  There's only one thing that I love more than my family and Radio...the weather.  If my math skills were any good, I would of been a TV meteorologist for sure.  I've been dabbling in photography too.  Social media takes up more of my time than it should but, I love talking with my listeners.  So, find me on Facebook at Smokey Rivers and let's chat!

Afternoons on KRIG

I first started in radio at age 14 working Part Time at my hometown station in Fairfeld, Iowa.  I knew then I was hooked at being "On the Air."    I've worked at stations in Iowa, Illinois, Florida and Dallas, Texas!  My wife Heather and I have a 3 year old son named Austin Cole.  I never knew how much having a child could change your life and really make you feel like you had a purpose.  There's nothing I enjoy more than spending time with my family which also includes two dogs Buddy and Boomer.  I grew up listening to Country Music and am a huge Country Fan especially of artists from the 80's and 90's!  When I'm not working or spending time with my family I like to play guitar.  I think a lot of people in radio are actually frustrated musicians--I'm one of them.  I love to go to concerts and watch sports on TV.   My son is turning into a NASCAR fan and loves to watch the cars go "vroom, vroom" around the track.

Todd Chambless

Weekends on KRIG

I grew up in West Monroe, LA…and go back as often as I can to visit family. Radio folks normally move around more than most other professionals…so I had my share of moving. I’ve lived in cities like Wheeling, WV…Pittsburgh, PA…Columbus, OH, Macon, GA…and others in between. I’ve settled for Dallas-Fort Worth,, TX. My wife and I are actively involved in church…and we love music, traveling and being with friends. I’m a movie fan, so I love going to see new releases. I’ve always been in love with Country, Pop and Christian music…so, I’m always looking for new releases and discovering old favorites.
